Sprint Signs Telecommunications Deal in Cuba
Sprint has become the first United States-basedtelecommunications company to provide directroaming mobile phone service to foreigners in Cuba. The deal was announced Monday in Havana, theCuban capital.
Sprint signed the deal with Cuba’s state-operatedtelecommunications agency Etecsa. Roaming serviceis the ability of mobile phone users to operate their devices when away fromhome or outside their local calling area.
