What better way to welcome in 2016 than to host a hackathon? The excitement and energy in Las Vegas is unmatched, so there’s no better venue to show off what AT&T and some creative developers have in store for the Internet of Things (IoT). The hackathon led up to CES 2016, where we are showcasing new products, discussing our strategy for IoT, and announcing exciting collaborations.
The hackathon focused on two main areas: IoT platforms (M2X, Flow Designer, Drive) and smart cities. In a mere 48 hours, more than 1,000 developers in 190 teams hatched and demonstrated some incredibly innovative IoT solutions, including a baby life monitor, data anonymization, robotic control, smart parking, video management, and more. We also had a simultaneous event in Mexico with 40 participating teams.
